Safe Stop Sample — Start Strong: Your Future Deserves Preparation

Your future deserves preparation.

Welcome to your free Safe Stop practice session. You do not have to purchase anything to try these activities. Take your time. You can pause and come back.

Introduction

Your future deserves preparation. Imagine this: you are riding home with a friend. Police lights appear. Your heart races. Someone says, grab the papers. What happens next? Welcome to the free Safe Stop sample from Every Child Matters, founded by Coach Eddie Ray Jackson. This is your chance to practice before you purchase. Here is one skill you can use: explain before you reach. During a traffic stop, keep your hands visible. If an officer asks for a document, explain where it is and wait for directions before moving. You might say, my registration is in the glove compartment. May I reach for it? If you do not understand an instruction, ask for it to be repeated. If you cannot follow it because of a disability or physical limitation, explain that clearly. Your fear does not make you guilty. Your dignity does not depend on perfect words. These skills may reduce risk, but no course can guarantee that you will avoid harm or arrest. Officers remain responsible for their conduct. In this sample, you will work through a fictional situation, practice your response, and check your understanding. The full six-week Safe Stop course covers rights awareness, passengers, phones, detention, and getting support afterward. It costs one hundred forty-nine dollars. Try this sample free, then decide whether the full course is right for your family. Your life matters. Your voice matters. Let’s prepare together.

Your goal today: explain a movement before making it, practice a clear response, and name one way to get support.
